Milan Rathod is a director and screenwriter with a fine arts background from Pune University.

After 14 years of practice in theater, music composition, painting, and sculpting, he gained a strong hold over his visual and sound aesthetic sense, building a solid foundation for his journey into films.

He has written and directed eight plays.

He has composed background scores and songs for six plays, along with a few independent songs.

• Painting and Sculpting

From 2013 to 2018, Milan designed sets for plays and short films. He has worked on commercial projects, including building giant sculptures for restaurants, wall paintings, and mural paintings.

Over the last 10 years, he has worked on corporate documentaries, advertisements, short films, and music videos as a director, screenwriter, and editor.

In 2021, he made Woong Woong, his debut short film as a screenwriter and director, which gained recognition across India during its festival run. That same year, he directed and wrote the screenplay for two music videos, including ones produced by One India Stories (Dia Mirza and Ananya Rane's production house).

He edits most of his passion projects, experimenting with narrative styles.

• Color grading

As an official end user of DaVinci Resolve, Milan has graded five feature films and several short fiction and non-fiction films over six years.

Milan believes his diverse experiences in art has refined his craft.  

He is looking to explore various formats in audio-visual medium as a director and screenwriter.
